Barton Tutor Profile – Series

by ldanb-taanb / Tuesday, 13 July 2021 / Published in Barton Tutoring Program, Uncategorized, Updates

Help us celebrate our hard working Barton Tutors!

The second tutor profile to be featured on our website is Emily Lewis! Emily has been a tutor with the Barton Tutoring Program since the fall of 2016 (longest serving tutor!). When the Barton Tutoring Program expanded into Moncton, Emily acted as the tutor coordinator for the area. She is now one of our remote tutors working with students from Moncton and other areas of the province.

Of her time at LDANB, Emily says;

“I have been a tutor for 4 years now, and it all started when one of my classes in University included volunteering. I first started by volunteering at LDANB and then I was offered a tutoring position! I am so grateful I had the opportunity to become a tutor at LDANB. It has led me to work with some amazing kids! I absolutely love when my students have a big smile on their face because they learnt something new and can use it when spelling and reading! Seeing their progress and hard work is what makes being a tutor so amazing! From tutoring in Fredericton to tutoring in Moncton, I will cherish each student and the connections that are made throughout our many lessons.”

We know that Emily has made an impact on all of the students she has worked with during her time as a Barton Tutor. Parents describe Emily as; “Focused, Goal driven, Hard working, Caring.”
