LDANB-TAANB is Seeking New Board Members

by ldanb-taanb / Monday, 27 June 2022 / Published in LDANB-TAANB Newsletter, Updates

The Learning Disabilities Association of New Brunswick is seeking to fill vacancies for its board of directors.

Our mission: to promote the understanding and acceptance of the ability of persons with learning disabilities to lead meaningful and successful lives.

We speak as the leading provincial authority on learning disabilities and advocate for the rights of everyone to learn and achieve their fullest potential, despite any learning challenges.

Our activities include sharing and promoting accurate information regarding learning disabilities, assisting youth and their families, adults with LDs, and professionals.

All interested persons are encouraged to apply; however, the Executive Board of Directors is hoping to strengthen certain areas of the Board. Key qualities we are looking for are:

  • Experience in fundraising and corporate sponsorship
  • Background and experience or knowledge in the human resources sector
  • Knowledge of adult education and employment support services
  • Special consideration will be given to those with lived experience.

Interested individuals are asked to submit a cover letter and resume to Ainsley Congdon (LDANB Executive Director) by email, [email protected]

Deadline for applications is Thursday, September 8th.
