Barton Tutor Profile – Series

by ldanb-taanb / Wednesday, 11 August 2021 / Published in Barton Tutoring Program, Uncategorized, Updates

Help us celebrate our hard working Barton Tutors!

The next tutor profile is Virginia Little! Virginia is another one of our long term tutors, coming to us after her retirement as both a classroom teacher and school principal.

Read on for some words from Virginia and her student’s parents!

Having been a tutor for LDANB for the past four years, I have had a most unique advantage for my efforts! I have had the privilege of working with the same student for last three years. Being part of their social and academic development, has been exciting and most rewarding for me. They have come to me at the end of a busy school day and continued to meet the challenges of the program. They have been terrific!

As the Spring Program comes to a close, I, also, wish to express my sincerest thanks and appreciation to the parents. They have been so thoughtful and supportive – thank you.

To my students, parents and the Barton staff, have a wonderful summer.

Virginia Little

Some words from parents who have worked with Virginia:

  • “Virginia Little has had a profound impact on our son’s learning. He has multiple learning disabilities and lacked confidence before meeting Virginia. Over the years, he has gained confidence and his reading level has steadily improved. She is an extremely kind and patient tutor who cares deeply about the students she tutors. She has been such an asset to our son’s learning and development.”
  • “Virginia is an amazing tutor and has become the reason for my son’s success. She is so encouraging and knows exactly what her students need. Even if her student is having a bad day they come out of her tutoring sessions with a smile on their face! We are so lucky to have her!!”
