Barton Tutor Profile – Series

Help us celebrate our hard working Barton Tutors!

Rob Lynn has been involved with the Barton Tutoring Program since the summer of 2017 when he began working with LDANB as a SEED student. It has been great watching Rob evolve as tutor and we are so excited that he has decided to pursue education!

Rob Lynn would like to congratulate all his students on a successful spring semester. He hopes you enjoy a relaxing holiday in the sun, but if you’re a sucker for pain, he’ll be more than happy to tutor through the summer. You might call Rob a veteran tutor with LDANB, as he’s been working for us on and off ever since he was our summer hire back in 2017. Wish him luck as he embarks on a Bachelor of Education at UNB this fall!

Some words from Rob’s parents:

  • “Rob has been an excellent tutor for our daughter. He’s very energetic and engaging which keeps her motivated and excited to attend tutoring every week. Tutoring virtually definitely would be a challenge, but Rob rose to that challenge and has done a great job interacting throughout the tutoring sessions. We have noticed a great improvement in our daughters schooling since she started.”
  • “Rob has been a great tutor for our son. He quickly developed a positive tutor relationship with our son and has made tutoring fun. Since our son started working with Rob he rarely asks to skip tutoring. I have seen great improvements in his reading and breaking words down into individual sounds. He is able to take the strategies he’s learning with Rob and apply them in school with his French words. We are always happy when our kids have positive role models in their lives and Rob is one of those people for our son right now. Rob is friendly, I can see that he engages our son from the time they meet at the door for tutoring. We hope to be able to continue with Rob for future tutoring sessions.”
  • “Rob goes above and beyond. When we met Rob, he was doing an assessment with my daughter and I knew right away that he would be the perfect tutor for her. I was thrilled when they were matched together. He built a positive rapport with my daughter and encourages her to do her best. My daughter is engaged and motivated when she works with him. We no longer have complaints about tutoring and the sessions fly by! She feels more confident in herself and I am so thankful for Rob!”
  • “My son has really enjoyed having Rob as a tutor. He looks forward to tutoring. Rob shows interest in my son’s life by asking him about his day/week which makes him feel at ease. This helps him feel comfortable reading with Rob. Rob makes tutoring exciting and fun. We are blessed to have Rob as our tutor!”
