2016 Atlantic Symposium on Learning Disabilities

The theme of the 2016 Atlantic Symposium on LDs will be “Literacy, Learning Disabilities & Cognitive Functions: Facilitating the learning process for all.” The symposium will feature guest speakers with expertise in their respective fields and will provide excellent insight into literacy, Learning Disabilities and cognitive strategies. Registration will begin soon and spaces are limited. The registration fee will be $100 (including a $25 LDANB membership). Literacy Coalition of New Brunswick Welcomes New Acting Executive Director
The Literacy Coalition is pleased to welcome Lynda Homer as its new Acting Executive Director. Lynda’s past involvement with the Literacy Coalition includes several years as Board member, Board President and Family Literacy Project Manager.
She has had the opportunity to promote literacy and learning in a variety of settings throughout her career. Most recently Lynda has worked as an independent consultant focussing on early childhood education and literacy. Her specialty areas include project management, program development, evaluation, staff development, research and report writing –all of which she hopes to put to good use in her new role with the Literacy Coalition.
The Literacy Coalition of New Brunswick works to advance literacy, lifelong learning and essential skills through continued partnerships and collaboration with government, educational institutions, business, labour, community organizations and individuals.
