Assistant Education Officer’s Message
First I would like to introduce myself to all LDANB-TAANB members, my name is Leigh-Anne and I’m a recent graduate of St Thomas University. I graduated in 2015 with Bachelor of Arts degree. I have a major in Psychology and a triple minor in Human Rights, Gender Studies and Sociology. I am very excited to be working here at LDANB, I’m looking forward to learning more about Learning Disabilities. I have always been an active member of the non-profit community. I have worked in a handful of fields including with children’s charities and mental health. I’m active in the Fredericton Community as I am a Girl Guide Leader for the Devon 1st Brownies.
Some Fun Facts:
I am an alumna member of Pi Alpha Gamma; a local Fredericton sorority
I am a former Baton Twirler
My favourite book series is Harry Potter
My favourite Book is Go Ask Alice
My favourite movie of all time is The Little Mermaid
My first few weeks here at LDANB have been busy. I’ve been working with Natalie to get the Barton Tutoring Set up for the fall semester and helping with SFS prep and the newsletter. During my time here I hope to widen my knowledge of learning disabilities and on different tools used to help people who do have LDs. During my short time here already I have learned so much from the wonderful staff. I am passionate about helping people and so far I have really liked working with learning disabilities. I hope to continue on in this field. I’m enjoying my time here immensely and can’t wait to continue my journey here at LDANB.
