50th Anniversary Awards Gala
As announced this summer, LDANB will be holding its first Award Gala on October 22nd. This will be an opportunity to celebrate the accomplishments of the Learning Disabilities Association of New Brunswick over the past 50 years. We will be honoring current serving board members with five or more years of service and Barton tutors with three years of service. It will be a chance to thank our community, corporate, and government partners. Finally, LDANB will be honouring two special individuals who have accomplished great things within New Brunswick’s learning disability community.
Ahead of the gala, we will be announcing our honored guests weekly on our social media pages, so please stay tuned for these posts! You can find us on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
Due to GNB Covid-19 restrictions, the capacity for our event is limited. As such, this event is by invite only.

Decoding Dyslexia New Brunswick
Decoding Dyslexia New Brunswick officially formed this month! Keep reading for some words from Decoding Dyslexia New Brunswick Chair, Aimée Foreman.
The group is a grassroots movement driven by families dedicated to improving awareness and increasing educational resources for students with dyslexia and related language-based learning disabilities within our province. Our organization joins an established network of chapters across Canada and the US working together towards systemic change. Our mission is to raise dyslexia awareness, to empower families to understand how to advocate for their children, and to partner with policymakers using evidence-based practices to identify, remediate and support students with dyslexia and related LDs.
We are also looking forward to making this year’s #MarkItRead campaign the biggest our province has seen and are pleased to be working with LDABN-TAANB to celebrate dyslexic thinking!
